The client’s previous loan on a property with a number of self-contained flats was coming to an end and due to some personal circumstances, they did not manage to obtain a refinance on time. The timeframe to complete the case before the previous lender put the loan in default was very tight. Valuation was instructed immediately and at the same time our solicitors were proceeding with their due diligence. Some issues were identified with the planning and the tenancy agreements for which our experienced underwriting team, in coordination with our solicitors, found solutions and achieved completion just on time.
